Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel, and jazz into his signature style. From Broadway to European music festivals and clubs the singer has done work everywhere. The real name of Sunshine is Denise White. Though she lives in Atlanta but she is out of Chester Pennsylvania where she began her musical vocation by singing and playing the piano in the church. After graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on Atlanta's R&B culture. The band was hired as the main keyboardist of Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award-winning performer) approached her for a position as director of the choral section of Dreamgirls in Atlanta for the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine came to national notice during the four performances during the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was then invited to sing at the Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
